Sri has his reasons for rarely leaving his apartment, and it’s not entirely due to the endless hours he spends playing his favorite online game, Other World. Meanwhile, Sri’s former babysitter and family friend, Lorraine wouldn’t be caught dead wasting time on a video game when there’s so much reality TV to binge watch. But when Capstar Games announces that the Other World servers will be permanently shut down, Sri and Lorraine stumble into a world of possibility as they find themselves literally trapped inside the Other World
game. With the help of in-game friends and strangers, can this unlikely team save the realms and return to reality, or will it be game over?

Other World is an adventure web comic full of heart and humor. It explores the connections we make on- and off-line, while celebrating the families and friendships we need to thrive in any world. Adapted from the original musical, the comic opens exciting new gateways into the rich Other World universe.

Caitlin (Kat) Leonard
Creative Consultant/Color Assistant/Webcomic Lead
Caitlin Leonard is an illustrator and cartoonist extraordinaire from Columbus, OH. She’s an MFA graduate from The Center for Cartoon Studies and an avid consumer of comics and Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson movies. She brings her expertise in webcomics, creative consultation, and color assistance to the Other World comic.
D. McFadzean
Adaptation/Layouts/ Rough Pencils
D. McFadzean is a renowned Canadian cartoonist who has been published by MAD Magazine, The New Yorker, The Best American Comics, and Tundra Books. He has also worked as a storyboard artist for DreamWorks and Netflix. McFadzean is an alumnus of The Center for Cartoon Studies (2012). He has three books available from Conundrum Press: Other Stories and The Horse You Rode in On (2013), Don’t Get Eaten by Anything (2015), and To Know You’re Alive (2020). McFadzean was a co-editor/co-founder of the comics and art anthology Irene, and distributes his own short stories in his ongoing minicomic series, Last Mountain. He currently lives in Saskatchewan with his wife and two sons.
Keny Widjaja
Pencils/Inks/Colors
Keny Widjaja is a skilled cartoonist and illustrator based in Bali, Indonesia. Keny honed his craft at The Center for Cartoon Studies, graduating in the Class of 2020. Known for his dynamic style and creative flair, Keny’s artwork captivates audiences with its vivid imagery and expressive characters. He breathes vibrancy into the pages of the Other World comic with his pencils, inks, and colors.
Alex Seay
Accessible Platform Developer
Alex is a software developer based in Christchurch, New Zealand. He’s a passionate expert when it comes to building accessible platforms, driven by the many potential comics fans excluded due to a lack of accessible options. Alex wants to change that; he hopes that for many, this new platform will be a portal to an “Other World.”
